The Birds

"The Birds" band was formed 2013 by Armenian wind instruments players Norayr Gapoyan and Grigor Kartashyan.The orientation of the band is avant-garde folk, ethnic jazz and folk fusion genres. The main aim of the band is the representation of Armenian national wind instruments with modern expression mainly paying attention to the national characteristics of the instruments.

Miqayel Voskanyan & Friends Band

Miqayel Voskanyan& friends band is a Yerevan, Armenia – based folk fusion, contemporary folk jazz music band. Formed in 2011, the band has managed to create modern, innovative music in Armenia with an ancient Armenian instrument tar, that has historically been limited to traditional folk music. The band plays mostly original compositions are authored by band leader MiqayelVoskanyan and also by the band members, which are strongly influenced by the Armenian folk music. Their highly distinguishable music is a concoction of jazz, fusion, folk, rock, contemporary ethnic and elements of world music. In 2013, "MiqayelVoskanyan& friends" won the "Best Band of the Year" award at the Radio Van Music Awards.In spring 2014, the band received a special invitation to perform at the Made In New York Jazz Competition Gala Concert in New York City. "MiqayelVoskanyan& friends" also represented Armenia at Caucasus Cultural Festival held in Seoul, South Korea (2014), MIDEM festival in Cannes, France (2015), International Ethnic Festival Krutushka at Kazan city, Russia (2015). In the same year band had a very successful concert at Moscow International Performing Arts Center.At the end of 2014 they recorded their debut CD album.

The team was founded on April 15, 2016. Before that time, each member of the team tried out in different styles and directions of music, it has allowed to successfully bridge the result in one new project!"J.E.F.-Experement" is the first act with the program "Folk Patterns" at Kavkaz Jazz Festival

Arte Band 

Band members want to mix Iranian folklore melodies and nostalgic songs with harmonies and melodies known to people around the world so that those songs will be accepted by them. The group hopes for the day that the people of two countries will mingle the same way the Iranian nostalgic songs are merged with American Jazz rhythm and harmony. Arte band in their first album wishes that kids from all around the world experience a more beautiful world than their parents.

Turkey

TuluğTırpan Quartet

Sabri Tuluğ Tırpan is a Turkish jazz & classical pianist and composer. Studied at the Vienna Conservatory and Vienna Music Academy. The power and melancholy of Turkish and Balkan folk music, the spirituality of Sufi music, the tradition of European classical music, along with American Jazz and musicals are the fundamentals of his sound.  

Besides leading his own group TuluğTırpanQuartet, he has performed with many renowned artists, including Al di Meola, Trilok Gurtu, Antonio Sanchez, Kai Eckhardt, Benny Greb, Juan Garcia Herreros, Mike Stern, singers Zara and SertabErener. In 2015, he realised Turkish Rock Anthology project, with the most popular young generation rock music singers Can Bonomo and FatmaTurgut on vocals.

Among the performers of the composer are Amsterdam Metropole Orchestra, State Symphony Orchestras (İzmir, Istanbul and Bursa), Prague Philharmonic, Wiener Jeunesse Orchestra, Izmir State Opera and Ballet and Eskişehir Symphony Orchestra. 

Among the festivals the artist performed at are Miles Davis Jazz Festival Poland, Vienna Jazz Festival, Cosmo Jazz, Istanbul Jazz Festival, Ankara Jazz Festival, Turkey Now 2008 (Holland),  Silver Bay Summer Festival USA, Mare Nostrum Vienna, International Davos Young Concert Artists Music Festival.Has recorded 10 CDs.

Georgia

Kanudosi

The band was established in 2007 in Gori, region of Shida Kartli. The band plays mostly jazz-progressive.  In 2010 the band participated in Warsaw jazz festival “Jazz Jamboree”, in 2011 in Caucasus Rock Festival in Tbilisi, in 2013 – in Tbilisi live music festival “Music for music”, and in 2015 in Trabzon, Turkey Art Festival. The band also manages solo concerts all over the Georgia.

Stumrebi

Ethno Jazz band “Stumrebi” was founded in 2012 (Tbilisi, Georgia). Musical style: Folk jazz group. Bend in their music compositions also uses swing, jazz rock, electro folk-jazz and latin music elements. Musical director of the group "Stumrebi" isthe famous jazz musician and composer Otar Magradze.In 2014band produced the first album, called "Stumrebi". In 2015, in Tbilisi, band “Stumpebi” successfully took part in 6thKavkaz Jazz festival.  Also in 2015, thewy participated in Baku International Ethno Jazz festival.  In August 2016 band will  take part in Edinburg International festival.

Bend aims to conduct a tour in USA and introduce Georgian ethno style and musical creations to American public and music lovers.
